Feature Film: The Godess of Loss
Historical fantasy feature, 120 minutes
High Priestess of an ancient empire fights in a deadly arena to win her freedom and overthrow the cunning Harlot she once rescued.
Kaita held the position of Sha-her, the high priestess of the Vakhija tribe, serving the Goddess of Loss. She helped a vulnerable woman but landed in the middle of the fighting arena herself. Kaita finds her way as one of the fighters, facing an antagonistic mentor, Rat and a skilled fighter, Dima. She needs to face not only against visiting gladiators but also against the effects of selenium poisoning and the bad graces of the Empress herself.
In the meantime, Alamis becomes Sha-her to find safety in the Vakhija tribe. She was previously a handmaiden to the Empress, but once she attracted the attention of the Royal Consort, she was sent to Kalapras brothel and named Harlot. When Alamis reached the end of her usefulness, her life was meant to end in the arena. Yet another woman fell into the pits instead, and Alamis took her chance to live a new life.
During the next Harvest Celebration, Kaita's struggle for survival becomes fueled by injustice when she sees a familiar figure at the podium, wearing her Sha-her outfit. Kaita rejects the Goddess of Loss and promises revenge; there isn't a straw she wouldn't grab to take revenge on the woman who stole her position. And Alamis becomes aware of the threat; she will do whatever she can to keep her position.
Kaita and Rat win their freedom and travel to the Vakhija tribe, where Alamis has a strong following. The Trials of Loss will decide their fate. The harrowing test of losing six senses ends with a final quest from the Goddess of Loss herself. Both women fall seven times. Which one will stand up the eight?
